Shedd Aquarium is a world class AZA accredited aquarium located on the museum campus on Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois.

Karen Pryor Clicker Training is the world's leading source of marker-based postive reinforcement training education. It is comprised of several important divisions including the Karen Pryor Academy, Clicker Expo, and Sunshine Books.

Clicker Expo is a unique three day experience from Karen Pryor Clicker Training.  Held several times each year, the Expo brings leading positive reinforcement trainers together for a unique series of seminars and learning labs.

Western Illinois University located in Macomb, Illinois also conducts classes at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.  They offer a unique graduated program and special certificate program focused on zoological studies that includes a class on Animal Training.

The International Marine Animal Trainers’ Association, (IMATA) was founded to foster communication, professionalism, and cooperation among those who serve marine mammal science through training, public display, research, husbandry, conservation, and education. IMATA is one of the leaders in the use of operant conditioning techniques.

The Animal Behavior Management Alliance, (ABMA) is a not-for-profit corporation with a membership comprised of animal care professionals and other individuals interested in enhancing animal care through training and enrichment. The ABMA and IMATA are the only two professional zoological organizations that focus on training.

Founded in 1924, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of zoos and aquariums in the areas of conservation, education, science, and recreation. Look for the AZA logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting an institution dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things.

The Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums is an international association representing marine life parks, aquariums, zoos, research facilities, and professional organizations dedicated to the highest standards of care for marine mammals and to their conservation in the wild through public education, scientific study, and wildlife presentations.
